          Joan D. Talley, 62, Merry Oaks, died Monday morning at her residence.  A native of St. Louis, Mo., she was a daughter of the late Durphy and Elna Staab Burke.  She was a homemaker, a member of the New Vision Baptist Church and a member of Bury the Hatchet Intertribal Council of Native Americans.  Her native name was Red Wing. 

          Survivors include her husband, Sam; two daughters, Sandy Corder of Missouri and Jamie Francis of Bon Ayr; five sons, Sam Talley, Jr. of Bon Ayr, Frank Talley of Kansas, Rev. Charles Talley of Bon Ayr, Brian Talley of Rocky Hill and Shawn Talley of Merry Oaks; six grandchildren, Ashley Talley, Angel Francis, Samantha Francis, Joshua Talley, Christopher Talley and Casey Talley; one brother, Frank Burke of Missouri; one sister, Katherine Hogan of Illinois; several nieces and nephews. 

          Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Richwood Cemetery in Corning, Arkansas.  Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
