Bill Ferguson

Bill M. Ferguson, 83, of Glasgow, Kentucky went to meet his Lord on August 16, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on July 10, 1938 to Joe Ferguson and Agnes Kathryn Hunt Arden of Lamb, Kentucky. Bill married his high school sweetheart Linda Prosser in 1957 and was blessed with three daughters Julie Baca (Mark), Jackie Ferguson (Shannon) and Jenny Fields (Daryl). They resided in Greenwood, Indiana, where Bill was a barber and started Ferguson Oil Company. They moved to Kentucky in 1980 and were farmers, owned a Baskin-Robbins franchise in Glasgow, and retired from Teckno, Inc. Bill enjoyed many years of water skiing, boating, motorcycle riding, horseback riding, driving his team of mules and wagon, and enjoyed building things and was a handyman. He loved kids and animals. He lived life to the fullest. He was member and Elder at Mount Pleasant Christian Church, Glenview Christian Church and a member of Refuge Church of Christ. Bill never met a stranger and he loved people. He had so many special friends and neighbors.
Bill is survived by his wife Linda, daughters Julie Baca, Jackie Ferguson, Jenny Fields, grandchildren Ashley Frisbie (Vernon), Kyle McWilliams, Megan Fields and Rachel Fields, great-grandchildren Nicholas Frisbie, Kaitlyn Frisbie and Noviliegh Calloway, one brother Bobby Ferguson (Beverly), nephews Andy Ferguson (Stacy), Samuel Ferguson, Paul Ferguson (Gabriel), niece Mary Brantley (Willie), two Uncles Burl Hunt and Ray Hunt, Aunts Delsie Hunt, Pearline Hunt, Margaret Hunt, Loretta Hunt, Willa Mae Hunt and Christine Smith and numerous cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Willie D. Hunt and Mona Elaine Arterburn Hunt, Thomas William Ferguson and Vickie Simmons Ferguson. Uncles Carlos Hunt, Ernest Hunt, Clarence “Cotton” Hunt, Larence Hunt, Faye Hunt, Mitchell Ferguson, Drewey Ferguson, Aunts Ruth Hunt, Jane Hunt, Helen Hunt, Loyce Ferguson Whitlow, Beatrice Ferguson Geralds.
Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations to Taylor Christian Church Camp 1251 Pruitt Road Bowling Green, Kentucky 42101, Crisis Pregnancy Center and BRAWA.
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) a private service for immediate family will be held. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
