Stevie Wooten
December 3, 1968 ~ August 19, 2021
Mark “Stevie” Wooten, 52, Glasgow, passed into his heavenly home surrounded by family at T J Samson Community Hospital on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Stevie was the son of the late Clifton Wooten and Frankie Chapman Wooten. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Samson Street Church of God.
Stevie is survived by his wife of 23 ½ years Sherry; three sons: Corey Edwards (Shana), Seth Edwards (Brittney), and Dustin Wooten; four brothers: Henry “Wayne” Jones, Ricky Wooten (Lori), Peter Wooten (Cheryl), and Tony Wooten (Lennea); four grandchildren: Kinsley Edwards, Landon Edwards, Kynleigh Edwards, and Carson Wooten; several nieces and nephews; along with Stevie and Sherry’s 3 dogs Bella, Zoie, and Samson that Stevie loved like children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Lillian Northern; two brothers: Tommy McKinney and Bobby Wooten.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Saturday and continue all day Sunday and Monday morning until time of the service at the funeral home. Out of concern for everyone’s health, it is requested that all attendees wear a mask or face covering.

Go rest high on that mountain Stevie, I know you were smiling from ear to ear when you saw our Lord’s face. I can only imagine. You will be missed. Prayers for everyone that loved you, especially Sherry.
