Charles Phillip Garrett

Charles Phillip Garrett, 75, Austin, died Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his residence. Born in Carlisle, KY, he was the son of the late Demmon Earl Garrett and Maxine Phillips Garrett.
Phillip was a 1964 graduate of Temple Hill High School after which he joined the United States Air Force and served for four years. Following his military service, he attended and graduated from Western Kentucky University. During his working career, he served in various accounting positions; was a partner in the family business, Garrett’s Grocery, and owned a small business tax firm of Padgett Business Services from which he retired after 20 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years Jeanne Wallace Garrett; one niece, Molly (Daniel) Turner; two nephews: Josh and Jarrad Garrett; several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
The family has chosen cremation. Due to health concerns in regard to Covid, the family has elected to have a graveside service 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to T J Samson Hospice or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
In the event of severe weather, the service will be held at Highland Hills Community Church.
