Richard Earl Bushong, 69, Glasgow, died Monday at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late John and Hagar Smith Bushong, a farmer and a member of the Coral Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nina Ruth; one son, Tim Bushong and his wife, Sarah, of Bowling Green; three daughters, Brenda Mills and her husband, Paul, of Glasgow, Sharon Forbis and her husband, Roger, of Cave City, and Teresa Woodcock and her husband, Roy, of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Keith Mills, Jeremy and Ashley Forbis, Nathan Woodcock and Taylor Bushong; two brothers, Raymond Bushong of Glasgow and John Depp Bushong of Summer Shade; five sisters, Evelyn Erwin of Indiana, Anna McDonald, Geneva Bushong and Linda Morgan all of Glasgow, Betty Reece of Horse Cave; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and James Bushong.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
