William Rodger Whitley, 66, Glasgow, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at his residence. A native of Taylor County, he was the son of the late Rev. Wilbur C. Whitley and Cora Ann Murphy Whitley. He was self employed in the refrigeration business, a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Allen Lodge # 24 F. & A.M., Kosair Shrine and Valley of Louisville Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; one daughter, Connie R. Reader and her husband, Michael, of Glasgow; one son, Markus Ray Whitley of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Jacob Nunn, Christopher Reader and Nicholas Reader all of Glasgow; one sister, Joyce Hendrick of Louisville; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 12 noon Saturday. The public is invited to masonic services conducted by the Allen Lodge # 24 at 12 noon Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to T. J. Samson Hospice, Kosair Charities or the American Cancer Society.
