Roger P. Perkins
May 1, 1933 ~ July 6, 2009
Roger P. Perkins, 76, Glasgow, died Monday, July 06, 2009, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Clifton P. and Mallie Wells Perkins. He was a retired tool and die maker at SKF in Glasgow and a farmer. He was a member of the Old Zion United Methodist Church and a member of the Barren County Cattlemen’s Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Edith Perkins; two daughters, Myra Johnson and husband, Michael, of Auburn, and Melinda Cave and husband, Greg, of Glasgow; one son, Todd Perkins and wife, Amy, of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Caleb Cave and Trevor Cave; three step-grandchildren, Austin Day, Joey Day and Caleb Day; one brother, Bob Perkins and wife, Anita, of Barren County; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Mitchell and Stanley and one sister, Velma.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Old Zion Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Old Zion Methodist Church, Old Zion Cemetery or the American Cancer Society.

Mary,Todd, Myra and Melinda: We are ever so sorry for you’re loss. Roger was a fine man and will missed by many. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. It’s always sad to lose a loved one, but God will see you through. If we can do anything at all to make this time a little less difficult to get through, please let us know. We love you all !
Mary Edith… I am very sad to learn of Roger’s quick passing. There is nothing we can say to ease your pain but know we are praying that God will soon heal your broken heart and give you peace. To Myra, Melinda and Todd, sending each of you and your familes arms full of love. Remembering your Dad as a wonderful man who loved his family and treated everyone with a kind heart.

I miss seeing all the familiar faces and it seems they are leaving us in swift time.
