Rebecca “Becky” Taylor
Rebecca (Becky) Ann Evans Taylor, age 83 of Eighty-Eight, KY passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law surrounded by family and friends. She was born October 17, 1939, to the late Grover and Mary Warren Evans. She was of the Methodist faith.
Becky worked in the medical office of Dr. George P. Whiteside for 30 years after which she worked and retired from T J Samson Community Hospital. She was very passionate about her family; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. One of her greatest pleasures in life was watching her grandchildren play ball.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 57 years Donald Rex Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her 5 siblings: Caroline Thomas and Rose Thomas both of Glasgow, KY, Dr. Harold Evans of Bowling Green, KY, Rev. William (Bill) Evans of Princeton, KY, and James (Jim) H. Evans of Columbia, KY.
She is survived by one daughter Belinda Houchens and her husband Tony; one grandson Bart Houchens and his wife Kelsey, and one granddaughter Brilee Edwards and her husband Justin; four great-grandchildren: Lakin Claire Houchens, Sloan Katherine Houchens, Tate Taylor Houchens, and Lennon Caroline Edwards; a special niece Cindy Taylor Corbin and a dear friend Becky Foster, as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Refuge Cemetery at Eighty-Eight. Visitation begins Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.

I am so saddened to hear of Aunt Becky’s passing, She was such a sweet person. I loved her dearly. She will be missed.

When we were teenagers we lived across the street from each other. Becky was a good person. I know she will be missed .
Becky and I were good friends in school and were in the class of 57.. She was a super fun friend.
