Joseph Theodore Winlock III, 53, died Thursday, March 19, 2009, at his home in Costa Mesa, California. He had resided in Costa Mesa for the past 30 years. He was married to the former Patricia Peden and they had been divorced for a number of years.
Born in Glasgow, KY, he was the son of Joe Winlock, Jr. of Glasgow and Sarah Booth Winlock of Dallas, TX. He attended Barren County High School and took classes at UCLA. He joined the United States Air Force after high school and served 5 years. After leaving the Air Force, he was a computer software engineer for Cater Haley Hall, VP for Sweden Media Company headquartered in Sweden, and was currently Director of Manufacturing for Saddleman, a Los Angeles based motorcycle products manufacturer.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his step-mother, Diane Winlock of Glasgow; sister and brother-in-law, Diana Lee and Greg Salerno of Houston, TX; a step-brother, Chad Brown of Greensburg, KY.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, J.T. and Dorothy “Dot” Winlock of Hiseville, KY, and maternal grandparents, Thomas Booth and Margaret Booth Palmer of Colorado Springs, CO.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
