Elizabeth Ann Meek
Elizabeth Ann Meek, age 71, of Glasgow, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. Elizabeth was born in Glasgow, KY, on January 9, 1952, to the late Walter and Gladys Kerney. On April 11, 1970, she married Oscar Meek at First General Baptist Church. She was a longtime member of Glasgow Bible Church and loved the Lord with all of her heart. Elizabeth was a 20 year employee at Barren County Health Department. She was the most selfless and caring person to everyone she met. Elizabeth was known as Nanny or Nana to many, and her favorite time was spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Jewell (Greg) and Bridget Strode (Tim); grandchildren, Trent Gamel, Taylor Gamel, Ian Strode and Lydia Strode; step-grandchildren, Noah Strode (Samantha), Tony Gamel, Sarah Harper (Matt), Michelle Edwards (Troy), and Christie Kindred (Grant); several great-grand children; sisters, Sarah Bragg, Barbara Ramming, and Virginia Kerney; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Oscar Meek.
The funeral services for Ms. Meek will be held at 1:00 Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 and Saturday morning until time for services at the funeral home.

Oh my Beverly and Bridget, im so so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I’m out of town and was reading over the obituaries. I hate this so bad , such a sweet sweet lady. Thoughts and prayers for your family. Love you all.
