Danny C. Pedigo

Danny Carroll Pedigo, 76, Glasgow, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the T J Samson Community Hospital following a brief illness.  A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Arley Bruce Pedigo and Dicie Bell Hale Pedigo.

After graduation from Glasgow High School where he was a member of the Rail Gang, Danny enlisted in the United States Army.  During his military career, he served in Vietnam, achieving the rank of Captain. He was transferred to numerous locations around the world. His final post was Bad Kissingen, Germany as base commander.

After leaving the military, Danny worked as a general contractor for more than 50 years, during which time he proudly improved many houses and commercial buildings the Glasgow and Barren County communities; he loved working.  He was an adoring father and grandfather and a friend to all.  A trader and gun collector, he was often seen at trade shows.  He had a passion for cooking and spending time with his family.  He was a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son Danny Carroll Pedigo II and his wife Renna Kaye; two granddaughters: Emily Clay Pedigo and Lauren Carole Pedigo; and his loving companion and close family friend Tyla Groce.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Marshall, William, Jerry, and Marice Pedigo; and two sisters: Mary Gladell Fudge and Vanda Pedigo.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday and continue Thursday morning at the funeral home.
