Cathy Buckingham

          Cathy Buckingham, 73, Park City, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the University of Louisville Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Bill and Audrey Fuller of Lexington, KY.

          She is survived by her husband David Buckingham; two sons: Ralph (Emily) and James (Richel) Whitley; and three grandchildren: Karson, Kamryn, and Fuller Whitley.  She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Libby Krumno, Sherry Vincent, Marie Jacobs, Terri Grimmett, Scott Fuller, and John Fuller, along with two step-daughters: Amy Keeler and Brandy Bridges.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, John Scott Whitley.

          Cathy worked as an administrative assistant at the Division of Regulatory Services at the University of Kentucky.  She worked in the Creamery License and fertilizer programs and also performed support duties for the field inspection staff.

          Cathy was a member of the Shiloh General Baptist Church at Railton, KY.  She was devoted to and loved her family and friends.  Her house was a happy place where everyone was welcomed and she treasured the fellowship of family and friends.

          Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Shiloh General Baptist Church.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
