Vicki Pennycuff

          Vicki Furlong Pennycuff, 71, Merry Oaks, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.  A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas “Bill” Furlong and Nettie Pearl Bunch Furlong.

          Vicki’s career was spent in the banking business in Barren County; she had served as a branch manager as well as a new accounts executive.  She was a longtime member of the Merry Oaks Church where she had also served as Sunday school teacher and pianist.

          Survivors include her husband Ronald Pennycuff; two children: David Pennycuff and wife Tina of Glasgow, and Ronda Gayle Pennycuff of Merry Oaks; two grandsons: Allan Pennycuff and Brock Pennycuff both of Glasgow; her mother-in-law Laverne Pennycuff; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Vance and husband Tim of Merry Oaks; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Jennifer Shaw and Debbie Johns.

          Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Merry Oaks Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Alternative expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions the American Heart Association or to Merry Oaks Cemetery.
