Ora Lee Honeycutt
Ora Lee (Crenshaw) Honeycutt of the Hiseville Community passed away peacefully Monday, January 6, 2025 at the T J Samson Hospital with numerous family members by her side.
Ora Lee was born to the late Reed Crenshaw and Bessie Hays Crenshaw of the Big Meadow Community. As a young woman she married and moved to the Hiseville area where she raised five children and worked on numerous dairy and tobacco farms. She also worked at several area factories. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and strived to make sure they had everything they needed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, a daughter-in-law Sherry Honeycutt, and a grandson Jeffrey Fancher.
She leaves to honor her memory her children: Billy Joe Honeycutt (Tammie), Jane Ann Gassaway (Wallace), Robert Honeycutt, Johnny Honeycutt, Mary Ruth Jessie (Barry), and a niece and nephew she loved as her very own, Wilma Grider and Kenneth Harold Grider (Kristi).
She also leaves to honor her memory several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren she loves dearly along with three sisters. She will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon Thursday at the funeral home.
