Marvin B. Dailey, 78, Glasgow, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Loretta, KY, he was a son of the late Edward B. and Mary Thelma Nash Dailey. He was a retired roller operator at Anaconda Aluminum, a veteran of WW II, having served with the United States Air Force, and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include two sons, Ron Dailey of Commiskey, IN and Marvin Dailey, Jr. of Louisville; one daughter, Brenda Kerstetter and husband, Jim, of Naples, FL.; his companion, Wilma Jackson of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Rhonda Dailey Jackson, Jason Dailey, Dana Capps, Dr. Christie Dry and Bill Mercer; five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Elsie Mae Grubbs Dailey and Gracie Louise Cox Dailey, and a brother, Jack Dailey.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. CST, Sunday, March 16, 2003, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Monday, March 17, 2003, at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
