H. B. Spillman

Henry Buford “H.B.” Spillman, 93, Griderville, died Friday, December 31, 2004, at his residence. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late J.L. and Jewell Maggard Spillman. He was a retired farmer and had worked with the local ASCS office and at Farmer’s Tobacco Warehouse for many years. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church, where he had served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent and was Song Leader for 54 years.
Survivors include his wife, Maymie; three children, Minnie Jewell Pearsall and her husband, Max, of Elizabethtown, James Avery Spillman and his wife, Sue, of Louisville, and Harry Wayne Spillman and his wife, Debra, of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Tom Pearsall, Charles Pearsall and wife, Danna, Gary Spillman and wife, Mayumi, and William Spillman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Samuel Spillman.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
