Homer Owens Reece age 72 of the Edmonton Road Glasgow died Sunday at his residence. He was the Son of the late John Owen and Virgie Ferguson Reece. He was a retired farmer of both Barren and Metcalfe Counties and was a member of the Big Meadow Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Leeoma Ethel Bowles Reece. One Daughter: Linda Lyons and her husband Larry. Two Sons: David Reece and his wife Sheila and Eddie Reece and his wife Angela all of Glasgow. Eight Grandchildren: Amy Brown and her husband Steve, Jeremy Reece and his wife Rachael, Daniel Reece, Kevin Lyons and his wife Lori, April Smith and her husband Shane, Michelle Taylor and her husband Justin, Aaron Reece and Natalie Reece all of Glasgow. Three Great Grandchildren: Courtney Lyons, Faylee’ Brown and Zoe Taylor. One Brother: Rev. Orville Reece and his wife Margaret of Glasgow. One Sister: Melissa Jones of Bowling Green. A Half Sister: Ernestine Greer of Bowling Green.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Clara Bray and Rosie DeWeese. Three brothers: Eugene, Vernon and Willie Reece. Several half brothers and sisters also proceeded in him in death.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11:00 AM Tuesday.
