Shirley Pursley, 66, Glasgow, died Saturday, June 09, 2007, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late Sanford and Myrtle Pace Slayton, she was a retired employee of Kentucky Apparel and Wal-Mart and a member of the New Salem Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Pursley and Gary Pursley and his wife, Melissa, all of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Hunter Pursley and Heather Pursley; four sisters, Sylvia Emberton and husband, Bill, Barbara Cook and husband, Darrel, Glenda Kraft and husband, Jim, and Judy Comer and husband, Tony; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Bowles Kettles and Terri Lynn Scott.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 11, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
