Gloria Jean Pitcock
August 11, 1947 ~ January 3, 2011
Gloria Jean Pitcock, 63, Glasgow, died Monday, January 03, 2011, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. A daughter of the late Willie Lee and Delcie Wilcox Kerney, she was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Alan Pitcock (Belinda) of Glasgow; three daughters, Karen Tudor (Roger) of Summer Shade, Leigh Ann Pitcock and Andrea Pitcock (Kenneth Glass) all of Glasgow; 11 grandchildren, Wesley Alan Pitcock, Cyndal Gulley, William Aaron Pitcock, Winston Alexander Pitcock, Justin Tudor, Stefanie Tudor, Logan Pitcock, Hallie Glass, Kenneth Glass, Jr., Matthew Glass and Natalie Glass; two great-grandchildren, Alana Gulley and Chloe Pitcock; three brothers, Jerry Kerney (Margie), Gary Kerney (Bonnie) and Darrell Kerney; two sisters, Patty Lane (J.C.) and Fannie Basil (Gene); special friends, Tina and Mark Spears; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rex E. Pitcock; one brother, Terry Kerney; one sister, Violet Gillentine; one sister-in-law, Betty Wilkerson.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Kinslow Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Leigh Ann—So sorry for your loss!! A mother’s love is a kind of love that is not soon forgotten. Cherish all the memories that you have of your mom as I am sure she was a special lady and mom! Leigh Ann, Im so sorry about the loss of your mom. I know exactly what you are going through. Its tough just went through it with my mom and my sister 10 days later its been the worst thing that I have ever experienced but I know they are in a better place than we are. Andrea, Leigh Ann, and Alan, I am so sorry to hear about Glorias’ passing!! She was a good woman!! I have nothing but fond memories of her when I was younger!! The last time I seen her was thr first of 2010 when I was working at the Huddle House, she was with Leigh Ann and she forgot her glasses on the table!! I know she was cursing on her way home!! I will never forget her!!
