Will Turner “Bill” Norris

Will Turner “Bill” Norris, 83, Glasgow, died Thursday, November 10, 2011, at his residence. A native of Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Claud and Lida Altie Poindexter Norris. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church where he also served as song leader for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Ella Norris; three daughters, Sandra Tracy (Glenn) of Scottsville, Linda Gentry (Roger) and Rita Powell (Steve) all of Glasgow; 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Tracy Hestand (Lewis), Elizabeth Tracy Myatt (Kevin), Amy Tracy Mooneyhan (Josh), Angela Langford (Jeremiah), Melissa Bunch (Joey), Lacie McGuffey (Drew), Kacie Miller (Daniel) and Andy Powell; two brothers, Bruce Norris (Imogene) of Portland, TN, and Randel Norris (Linda) of Glasgow; one sister, Robbie Jackman (J.T.) of Glasgow; one brother-in-law, Robert Bailey of Glasgow; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Luther Paul Norris.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
