Virginia Lee Tubbs
September 7, 1934 ~ December 21, 2012
Virginia Lee Tubbs, 78, Glasgow, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late Zachariah and Lena Herndon Duvall, she was a retired housekeeper. She was a member of the Friendship Club and a long-time member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, where she was also a Sunday school teacher and member of the Missionary Society and the choir.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Bybee; one son, Silves Earl Mitchell (Janet); four grandchildren, Micah Tisdale, James Tisdale, Tabitha Tisdale, and André Mitchell; one sister, Nora Frances Button; special friends, Billy Rice and Libby West; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews along with her extended Tubbs Family and Hopewell Church Family.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hopewell Baptist Church with burial in the Lou Green Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 12 noon on Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I only met her once and she was a very sweet lady. She will be deeply missed. She will always be with you. If not here physically but spiritually.She may be gone but not forgotten. Just picture that beautiful smiling at you. Once again I am sorry for you loss. If there is anything we can do for you just let us know.
