Marjorie was a good friend to my mother, Tressie Hatcher, who always spoke well of her. I did not know your mother very well but have met her in the past. You have our condolences at her passing.
Your Mom spoke often on the phone to me and my husband. I remember being with her a lot when all lived on Columbia Avenue. She had many friends at Glasgow Baptist and will be missed.
I remember many times when I was younger, going with my mom to Marjorie’s house for her Stanley bingo parties. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time.
I have such fond memories of Marjorie throughout my childhood on up even after I gor married and had my own children. She was a dear friend of my mother and they kept in touch often. I enjoyed going to her home on occasion to play Bingo or pick up Stanley items and I remember her house always smelled so good. She always made me feel welcome. The last time I saw her at the health care center, she did remember me and asked about my mom. She made a difference in my life and I’m thankful I got to know her and enjoy her friendship and the wonderful memories I cherish today. Thinking of Bill and the family today and in the coming days. May God bless you all and give you comfort.
I knew Mrs.Cooksey well, and LOVED her dearly, I have had several stantley parties for her and made many orders..I was always welcome at her house and saw her at the nursing home where I sang once a month until last few months. She was a unique, beautiful, special lady that as fore stated I loved and respected . You all will always have my prayers for God’s comfort and guidance in your life.
I am so sorry to learn of Aunt Marjorie’s passing. When I spoke to her a few weeks ago, I didn’t know how grave the situation was with her. I have kept in contact with her for some time with phone calls & visits until lately when health problems have kept me from visiting & is also as to why I can’t make it to the graveside services. I will miss her. My thoughts & prayers are with you & Sally.
