Frank J. Campbell

Frank J. Campbell, 94, Glasgow, died June 29, 2013, at his residence. A native of Louisville, he was the son of the late Gladys Sanderson and Frank J. Campbell, Sr. He was a former mechanic at the Ford garage in Leitchfield and a retired mail carrier at the Leitchfield Post Office. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII, and a member of First Baptist Church in Leitchfield.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Mayes Campbell; one son, Michael A. Campbell and his wife Nancy of New Albany, IN; one step-son, Richard Mayes and his wife Eve of Pocataligo, GA; one brother-in-law, Oval Higgs and his wife Beulah of Millwood, KY; 8 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and mother of his three children: Dorine Higgs Campbell, to whom he was married for 57 years; along with a son, Larry Campbell, and a daughter, Carolyn Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield with burial in the Layman Memorial Cemetery at Millwood. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow and from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
