Jimmy was a awesome uncle he enjoyed life to its fullest! He enjoyed fishing and publishing his own news papers. He is home now, mamow and papow have been waiting patiently for this day. They are all together again!!
Jimmy ‘s mon and our mon were cousins… And we lived down the street on Emma Jean Way. An entire generation of kids from Valley Station grew up with Jimmy as part of their childhood… And have wonderful memories of his sheriff’s badge, notebook, and bike!
Never was there a more gentle soul. Rest in peace…your memory brings a smile to many.
I was one of those “Valley Station Kids” that Debbie Eskridge Hibberd mentioned. I had not remembered Jimmy until I read Debbie facebook post about his passing. She is right,..he is a fond memory of my childhood. His colorful personality, his sheriff’s badge, notebook and bike. I hope he knew how much he meant to so many children. My sincerest condolences.
I was one of the kids that lived in Valley Station that when he was on the Fire Department and rode his bike up there. Jimmy Ray always had a smile on his face and took his job serious. Some wonderful memories of him…..also at the skating ring across the street from the fire station. RIP Jimmy!! You will be missed.
I too have fond memories of Jimmy Ray, we lived on Torrington Road and any time we were sitting out side he would stop by and give us the scoop of what was going on around the area. Whenever we get together we still talk about Jimmy and how much he enjoyed life. RIP
I really appreciate the kind words and memories that everyone has of Jimmy. He taught me alot about life in his own special way. He was a great Brother and will be sadly missed.
