I’ll never forget as a kid playing softball, baseball and croquet in Lucille & Cecil’s back yard. Nor the ice tea/lemonade on a hot summer day. Then there were the Graham Crackers that she kept in the cabinet beside the kitchen sink. Truly as my sister says above like a second mother! A very special lady! My condolences to all the family and especially to Marilyn!.

Cecil and Lucille Johnson were very good neighbors to the entire Crouch family for 50 years. Marilyn Johnson was one of our good childhood friends. Lucille was always friendly and kind to the neighborhood kids. May God give comfort to the entire family during this time.

What a special lady Lucille was. I’m thankful for the memories and friendship of Lucille as well as Cecil. They were such an influence on my life over the years and I thank God that He let me be a part of their lives and them a part of mine. They lived out their true love story and I know Cecil was waiting at the gate to Heaven to meet his sweet girl. Marilyn, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. You have some precious memories to carry you through of wonderful parents! God bless!

Ouch, to lose someone so precious hurts. Lucille and Cecil were special to all of us in the Hall family. Although Cecil was my father’s first cousin, he and Lucille were like our aunt and uncle. She remembered every birthday with a card or a phone call and always had good things to say. She was classy. My prayers are with the family during this time.
Lucille shared her scrapbooks with me the last time I visited her at home–what a beautiful story they tell! She was a blessing.

  9. Shirley Conner (Hoyt's sister) says:

    So sorry for your loss.

  10. Tom and Marie says:

We think of Lucille as being a helpful and faithful family member. She was so good concerning Thelma, and she made a point to keep in touch with us. Just this year she had put a personal note in her Christmas card, still actively loving on people. What a role model,
    With sympathy and prayers.
