Doris Elizabeth Nicholson Unser, 68, Glasgow, died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at her residence. A native of Jefferson County, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy Odell Davis Nicholson and James Thomas Nicholson, Sr. She was a retired employee of Comfort Inn of Glasgow and had been attending Cave City Christian Church.
Survivors include three sisters: Shirley Poynter and Margie Hiser and husband Cecil of Glasgow, and Ina Pearl Thomas and husband Mike of Pleasureville, KY; one brother: Jim Nicholson and wife Joy of Jeffersonville, IN; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Philip “Pete” Unser.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

I was very sad to hear about the passing of Doris, but then I took a moment and thought, She is now with ALL her loved ones, and very Happy in Heaven! There’s no greater place to be. Love you RIP Doris..

So very sorry, at least she’s at rest. Been remembering all of our younger days, and we sure had a lot of fun together. All of you were more like brother and sisters to me than cousins. I love you all with all my heart and I know Doris knew that too. Peace and comfort to all of you.

So sorry Doris has passed off the earthly stage, but she is now a permanent member of the heavenly stage, and with her loved ones on the other side.
