Carolyn Joyce Garrett went home to be with the Lord February 14, 2015.  She was born in Glasgow August 29, 1937, and was a 1956 graduate of Glasgow High School. She worked at New Farmers Bank of Glasgow and was a retired CNA from NHC Health Care. She was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church for over 60 years. Carolyn loved ceramics, shopping, her family, her pets and eating out with her friends. She was beloved by many who she had “adopted” over the years and she will be missed.

She is survived by her son, Shawn Edwards (Vivian) and her daughter, Monica Joyce Edwards.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cameron and Katelyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Linzie “Slim” Harris and Flossie Maderia (Dahoney) Harris. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roger H. Edwards and Leo Garrett.

Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 and after noon on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that you give to your favorite charity in memory of Carolyn.

    Carolyn as a classmate and friend will be missed. 3 years ago, we were able to visit at our class reunion. The class of 1956 was and is a special Glasgow High Senior class, because of individual such as Carolyn. May you rest in peace.
