Dorothy Jean Holmes, 88, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Glasgow Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Ruth Harper Morgan and a wife of the late Harry Thomas Holmes. She was a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son: Darrell Holmes; three grandchildren: Callie Christian “Quentin”, Morgan Negishi “Kenji” and Thomas Holmes; one great-grandchild: Ren Negishi; two sisters: Virginia Mercer and Drucilla Cowles; one brother-in-law: Junior Jeffries; one sister-in-law: Wilma Morgan; one daughter-in-law: Connie Brooks Holmes.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers: A. J. Morgan and Donald Morgan; one sister: Jeanette Jeffries.

Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery at Park City, KY. Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.

    This was one of the greatest women that I have had the pleasure of knowing. Aunt Dot was the kindest most unselfish person on this planet. She gave her entire life to those she loved and I am so glad I was one of those people. I will always hold you in my heart. God bless you in your new journey. We will all miss u greatly.
