Katelyn “Katie” Kerney

Katelyn Marie Ruth “Katie” Kerney, age 5, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Kosair-Children’s Hospital after a brief illness. She had many interests which include singing, dancing, sports, her family, and especially her time of being a pre-school student at Red Cross Elementary School.
Survivors include her Father Kelly Ray Kerney; her Mother Wendy Marie McCoy; two brothers: Kylan Kerney and Kody Kerney; paternal grandparents: Gary and Bonnie Kerney of Glasgow; maternal grandmother: Pamela Harper of Edmonton; aunts and uncles: Robert and Nichole Jewell, Holly McCoy, and Shelby McCoy.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon Thursday at the funeral home.
Kelly and Wendy… I’m so sorry bout your loss . katie was a beautiful Lil princess inside n out. You would always see her smile with them beautiful bright eyes. I will always remember her by her sweet smiles. I can’t imagine your pain kelly n Wendy, but I’m sure its unbearable. I know you both loved your katie n cherished every moment with her. Just remember she’s no longer suffering with the illness she had n she’s smiling down on y’all. She’s your guardian angel now. I pray god give y’all and the boys n the rest of the family the strength to get thru this difficult time. Again. I’m so sorry n I pray god wrap his arms around you all n give u comfort n strength.
