Beulah Birge Houchens
October 29, 1913 ~ May 7, 2002
Beulah Birge Houchens, 88, of Poland, IN formerly of Mt. Herman died Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at the Cloverdale Convalescent Center in Cloverdale, IN. She was the daughter of the late J. Hack Birge and Lena Kingery Birge. She was an avid quilt maker and a member of the Poplar Log Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons: Boyd Gramlin and his wife Lois of Poland, IN and Dale Smith and his wife Sally of Phoenix AZ; one daughter-in-law: Lillie Gramlin of Indianapolis, IN; one brother: Roy Birge of Sulfur Lick, KY; Several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Hershel Gramlin, Roger Smith, Luther Gregory and Wilton Houchens and one son Eddie Gramlin.
Funeral will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
