Leslie P. Dean

Leslie Paul Dean, 93, Glasgow, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Julior Hess Dean and Kate Shader Dean. He was a retired farmer and real estate developer. He was a U S Army veteran of WWII and had been a long time member of the Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV where he had served many years as a part of their honor guard.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha Leslie Martin and husband Danny of Glasgow; five grandchildren: Nathaniel Johnson of Boulder, CO, Eli Johnson Hester and husband Zac of Bagdad, KY, Jamey Buchanan and Andrea Smith both of Glasgow, and Heather Wilson and husband Jeff of Cave City; seven great-grandchildren: Laura Wilson, Jackson Smith, Blythe Johnson, Levi Johnson, Jacob Wilson, Aiden Smith, and Austin Smith; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Christine Frances Culver Dean; one great-grandson, Henry James Hester; and several brothers and sisters.
A private graveside service will be held at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Family and friends may view the service later by visiting www.facebook.com/hatchersaddler. Online condolences may be shared at www.hatchersaddler.com.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Leslie. We got to know him shortly after we moved to Glasgow in 2001.. He was a good man and a good friend. We missed him at Southside Baptist Church when he was no longer able to attend. Rejoicing that he is has gone to his eternal home. He will be greatly missed.

One of a kind. My father’s brother. Love to the family. I had the pleasure of taking him to church for several years. He was an amazing fellow that loved his family dearly! My best to all!
Uncle Leslie, I hope you realize how much you were loved. He was a very special person. He could tell stories like no other. I only wish I could have spent more time with him. Give my momma a big hug for me??Much love to Martha Leslie & her family.
Uncle Leslie’s smile was always big & he beamed the love of Jesus like a bright star in our family..
I would like to say to Martha that your love & care of your Dad was the epitome of how he would have cared for his PARENTS had the need been there.

Martha so sorry to hear this. Me and dad were just talking about him today. Uncle Leslie was a great person I loved going to visit you guys when we were kids. He was such a fun person to be around. Him and Aunt Chris. Love you all

Leslie Dean was definitely one-of-kind! He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He will be missed. Prayers for the family during this time.
