James Albert Wilson, 73, Bon Ayr, died Thursday at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A son of the late Willie and Salley Tinnel Wilson, he was a retired truck driver and farmer and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Traylor Wilson; two sons, Charles (Butch) Wilson and his wife, Alicia of Bon Ayr, and Joe Wilson and his wife, Linda of Merry Oaks; eight grandchildren, James Allen Wilson, Michelle Matthews, Crystal Madison, Josh Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Jeremiah Wilson and Jena Wilson; three sisters, Jean Wilson, Ethel Gray and Elizabeth Turner all of Glasgow; his mother-in-law, Mary Traylor; three great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Felix, Reed, Luther, Morris and Bill Wilson and by two sisters, Fanny Humphrey and Jeanette Hale.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bon Ayr Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
