Laura F. Curd, 84, Glasgow, died Tuesday at the NHC Health Care Center. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late James A. and Laura Everett Curd. She was a retired employee of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in Washington, DC and prior to that, she was employed by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics with 32 years service.
Survivors include her sister, Ann Curd of Glasgow; her nephew, Bill E. Curd and his wife, Karon of Cave City; her niece, Kathy Earls and her husband, Wayne of Glasgow; two sisters-in-law, Virginia “Shine” Curd of Cave City and Grace Curd of Glasgow; three great-nephews, Will Curd of Cave City and Brent and Chris Earls of Glasgow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Curd and Frank Curd, and by a sister, Margaret Curd.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
