Geneva S. Johnson, 92, West Brown Street, Glasgow, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at the NHC Health Care Center. A native of Westborne, TN, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ollie Jane Slover. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in DuQuoin, Illinois.
Survivors include one son, Joe W. Johnson and his wife, Lou Mae of Glasgow; two daughters, Phyllis McCoy of Prospect, KY and Zelma Swailes and her husband, Alan of Columbia, MO; eleven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Achsah Mitchell Johnson and one brother, Louis Slover.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, at the First Baptist Church in DuQuoin with burial in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 12 noon Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
