Helen Craig Phillips, 81 of Hiseville died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the Baptist East Hospital in Louisville , Ky. She was the daughter of the late George Craig and Irene Colb Craig. She was the former owner of Phillips Market in Hiseville and a member of the Big Meadow Baptist Church .
She is survived by three sons: Bill Phillips of Hiseville, Jim Phillips of New Albany , IN and Mike Phillips of Hiseville; one brother: Charles Smith of Ohio ; one sister: Dorothy Griffith of Ohio ; eight grandchildren: Dawn Reynolds, Melissa Norris, Marsha Thomas, Valerie Allen, Tiffani Phillips, Kristin Childress, Dusty Phillips, Trevor Phillips; eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Phillips and her step-mother Jewell Craig.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery . Visitation will be after 11:00 A. M. Monday. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hiseville Fire Department.
