Hazel Christine Bennett, 78, Seymour Park Road, Horse Cave, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at Caverna Memorial Hospital. Born October 24, 1926, in Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Dolly Wilcoxson Emory and widow of the late Clem H. Bennett. She was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Carlos P. Bennett and his wife, Joan, and Terry L. Bennett and his wife, Sherry, all of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Connie Martin and her husband Raymond, Jamie Smith and her husband Clifton, Brandy Vibbert and Joey Jolly, and Christopher Lee Bennett; six great-grandchildren, Reagan Martin, Cassie Smith, Chelsea Smith, Caitlyn Smith, Bryson Braswell and Dalton Martin; two sisters-in law, Margo Puckett and Katherine Beard; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ollie Mae Bailey, a brother, LeRoy Emory and a granddaughter, Angela Bennett Braswell Sims.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2005, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Horse Cave Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
