Roger Wayne Nichols, 67, Smiths Grove, died Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Allen County, he was a son of the late Logan and Eula Dillard Nichols. He was a retired maintenance worker at Firestone and Parkview Apartments in Glasgow and a former security guard at Dickerson Lumber Company. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah; two daughters, Trish Botts of Glasgow and Gloria A. Harris of Edmonton; three grandsons, Micheal Nichols of Glasgow and Joseph and Dylan Harris of Edmonton; five great-grandchildren, Samara of Glasgow, Taylor, Nicholas, Nathaniel and Aiden of Edmonton; one sister, Susie Keith of Glasgow; two brothers, Frank Nichols of Park City and G. C. Nichols of Louisville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Timmy Nichols.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2005, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Wells officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
