Allen “A.G.” Cox, 72, Glasgow, died Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital.  A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Leonard and Lucille Pedigo Cox.  He was a retired heavy equipment operator and United States Army veteran, having served in Germany.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; six daughters,  Elaine Manion and husband, Benny, Lana Hatcher and husband, Lannie, Teri Robertson, Tresia Sexton and husband, Garry, and Angela Foster and husband, Brent, all of Glasgow, Melissa Bowman and husband, James, of Cookeville, TN; one son, Allen Cox, Jr. of Glasgow; one brother, Philip Cox and wife, Betty, of Glasgow; one sister, Nelda Albany, of Glasgow; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Natalie A. Cox.

Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2006, at the Neal’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.  There will be no public visitation.
