James G. “Jim” Norman, 59, Glasgow, died Thursday, October 12, 2006, at his residence. The son of the late James Guy and Edith Grooms Norman, he was a retired vocational teacher with the Allen County-Scottsville Board of Education and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was also an avid volunteer and supporter of Habitat for Humanity.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; one son, John Carvel Norman of Glasgow; his step-mother, Ann Norman of Glasgow; four uncles, Dale Norman and wife, Maxine, Keith Norman and wife, Elizabeth, all of Glasgow, Paul Grooms of Indiana and Sam Grooms of Wisconsin; four aunts, Jeanette Norman and Lois Norman both of Glasgow, Doty Dieterick of Bowling Green and Linda Baxter of Campbellsville; several cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Habitat for Humanity.
