Thelma Bush Branham, 92, Austin, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the Glenview Health Care Center. The daughter of the late Gilliam and Lottie Payne Bush, she was a retired teacher in the Barren County School System, having taught for 33 years, most of which was at Austin-Tracy School.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Branham (Donna) of Glasgow, and Larry Branham (Kathy) of Frankfort; one daughter, Anita Branham of Bowling Green; eight grandchildren, Kevin Branham (Anita) of Auburn, Gary Branham (Laura) and Mark Branham (Angela) all of Shepherdsville, Lennea Wooten (Tony) and Leslie Branham all of Glasgow, Stacy Kupchella (Jason) of Bowling Green, Tara Branham of Portland, OR, and Sarah Lawrence of Seattle; one brother, Dennis Reid Bush (Nancy) of Glasgow; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Branham; four brothers, Ted Bush, Wilton Bush, G.P. “Bae” Bush and Glenn Bush.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
