Mable Elizabeth Patton Holman, 97, Glasgow, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at her residence.  A native of Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late John and Edna Vaughn Patton.  She was a former resident of Goodnight for 83 years before moving to Glasgow.  She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Sybil Holman Sneed of Glasgow; a special friend who was like a daughter, Trina Wells Wyatt of Glasgow; seven nieces, Rita White, Kathy Sewell, Dottie Patton, Loretta Mow, Kathleen Cooper, Cynthia Morgan and Daphna Gentry; six nephews, J. L. Grider, Kenneth Grider, David Patton, Leroy Patton, Eugene Patton and Keith Patton; as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews and three great-great-great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arvle R. Holman; one daughter, Jacquetta Holman; two sisters, Thelma Grider and Seretha Morgan; four brothers, Benford Patton, Prentis Patton, Cue Patton and McKinley Patton.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.  Entombment will be in the Cave City Cemetery.  Friends may call after 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
