Rex E. Pitcock, 66, of Glasgow, died Monday, July 14, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Tompie Botts Pitcock and Pauline Dockery Pitcock. He was retired from SKF and a veteran of the 623rd National Guard Reserve.
He is survived by his wife: Gloria Jean Kerney Pitcock; one son: Alan Pitcock “Belinda” of Glasgow; three daughters: Karen Tudor “Roger” of Summer Shade, Leigh Ann Pitcock of Glasgow and Andrea Pitcock “Kenneth Glass” of Glasgow; eleven grandchildren: Wesley Pitcock “Molly Pickett”, Cyndal Gulley “Corey”, Aaron Pitcock, Weston Pitcock, Justin Tudor, Stephanie Tudor, Logan Pitcock, Hallie Glass, Kenneth Glass III, Matthew Glass and Natalie Glass; one great-grandchildren: Chloe Pitcock; four brother-in-laws: Jerry Kerney “Margie”, Gary Kerney “Bonnie”, Darrell Kerney and Hugh Wilderson; two sister-in-laws: Patty Lane “J.C.” and Fannie Basil “Gene”; several nieces and nephews; a special friend Tina Spears and family.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Betty Wilkerson.
Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Kinslow Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
