Col. Hughie Richard Pedigo, 75, Glasgow, died Thursday, September 18, 2008, at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green. A son of the late Mary Lillie Riley and Hughie Rollin Pedigo, he was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. He was a pilot with the United States Air Force and after his retirement, he returned to his Barren County farm. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Hiseville Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5906.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Compagnon Pedigo; one daughter, Lynn Pedigo and special friend, Jeffry Morris of Lexington; three sons, Hughie Pedigo, Derek Pedigo and wife, Loretta, and Jeff Pedigo and wife, Tammy, all of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Brandy Pedigo, Brooklyn Pedigo, Morgan Pedigo, Zebulon Pedigo and Bailey Pedigo; one brother, Don Pedigo and wife, Sue, of Cave City; two nephews, Donnie Pedigo and wife, Cathy, of Glasgow, and Wayne Pedigo and wife, Julie, of Cave City.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the honor guard from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
