Barbara Jean Norman
February 14, 1935 ~ August 3, 2009
Barbara Jean Norman, 74, of Park City, died Monday, August 3, 2009 at Caverna Memorial Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who also dedicated her life of taking care of others as a nurse.
The Park City native was born February 14, 1935 to the late Clyde and Mabel Martin Thomas. She was the wife of the late Johnny Norman. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Donnie Wayne Alexander and a sister: Estelle Thomas.
She is survived by one son: David Wilson Rogers of Cave City; four daughters: Connie Denise Sexton and her husband Daryl of Hiseville, Shirley Jean Crumpton and her husband William of Cave City, Linda Gail Sturgeon and her husband Paul of Magnolia and Karen Fay Rich and her husband Steve of Hardyville; four sisters: Louetta Pedigo, Grace Thomas Pedigo and her husband JT of Glasgow, Virginia Rogers of Park City and Brenda Jo Martin and her husband Tony of Horse Cave; two brothers: Richard Thomas and his wife Margie of Glasgow and Ray Thomas, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Indianapolis, IN; eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A special friend Frank Hampton.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Bro. Riley Sexton Officiating. Burial will be in the Horse Cave Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
To Vicki and Family, you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Vicki I’m sorry I can’t be with you at this time. But know I am with you in spirit, and you know all you have to do is call. May God Bless you and the family and may he give you all the strength that will get y’all through.

just wanted to express my sympathy to a;; of you. Barbra was a special lady I loved her.
I seen her a couple of days before she passed. she loved her babies. and was so proud
of all of you. I was apart of your family for 6 years. I cant imagine your pain but your in my heart
and prayers always time want erase the wonderful memories you share. one thing is for sure
we will see her again. so in this time ill be thinking of you always and god will give you all
the strength to get through this. ill be thinking of you Always
