Herbert Monroe Logsdon
August 27, 1950 ~ September 24, 2009
Herbert Monroe “Roe” Logsdon, 59, Hiseville, died Thursday, September 24, 2009, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A son of the late Joe and Hattie Pearl Gulley Logsdon, he was a farmer, a former employee of Barren River Fertilizer and a member of the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Jean Garmon Logsdon; one son, Adam Logsdon of Hiseville; two daughters, Mikia Logsdon of Hiseville and Julie Young and husband, Jeff, of Edmonton; two grandchildren, Christopher Young and Crystal Young; one brother, Andy Logsdon and wife, Anna, of Horse Cave; three sisters, Martha Thomas (Doug) and Ann Wheeler (Richard) all of Glasgow, and Sarah Hornback (Steve) of Munfordville; brother-in-law, Earl Duvall; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jay Logsdon; two sisters, Louise Duvall and Mary Jo Logsdon.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Big Meadow Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

To the Logsdon family….Your brother Roe was a very special and wonderful person and will be greatly missed by all who come to know him . You and your families have my most sincere sympathy on his passing. Your brother lived a faith-filled life and was an inspiration to all of us who knew him. I feel blessed to have known him as a friend growing up. The days ahead will be difficult without him, but we must use our faith to give us strength and hope. I pray that Heavenly Father will comfort you and keep you in His embrace.

Jean and kids, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Roe will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was one of nicest people I have ever met. I wish there was something I could say that would ease your pain. But I know there is nothing I could say to make things easier for you now. But you and I both know he is in a much better place. You all will miss him like crazy but hes suffering no more. God bless you all and if there is anything we can do please let us no.
