Phyllis Caroline Lile, 77, Glasgow, died Friday, October 23, 2009, at the NHC Health Care Center. A daughter of the late Phil and Ollie Mae Pedigo Roberts, she was married to the late Samuel Reid Lile for 47 years and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was a well-known seamstress, loved playing the piano, and was a long time member of the Antioch Quartet.

She is survived by her children, Keith (Julie) Lile of Danville, KY, Denise (Les) Wilkinson of Port Orange, FL, and Jeff (Marita) Lile of Glasgow; a sister, Roberta Sowers of Glasgow and a brother, Richard (Mary) Roberts of Plainfield, IN; six grandchildren, Kasey Lile, Kelly (Jeremy) Jenkins, Jeremy (Emily) Wilkinson, Leslie (Steve) Walker, Molly (Tag) Taylor, and Becky Lile; six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Grant Lile.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

    Sorry to ear of your loss. She was a wonderful lady and I have fond memories of her, for she was my babysitter when I was a small child. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this tough time. It’s been a long time since I’ve thought of you Jeremy. We go back to literally our childhood and of course school & the radio station days too.
