Walter Gillam
November 5, 1940 ~ May 10, 2010
Walter J. Gillam, Jr. 69, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Barn Hart, MO. to the late Walter Gillam, Sr. and Ann JenKerson Gillam. He was retired from General Motors Corvette Plant, a Kentucky Colonel and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was attending Free Will Baptist Church and Summer Shade Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife Mary Palmore Gillam; four children: Craig Gillam of Bowling Green, Penny Mace and husband, Gary of St. Joseph, MO, Scott Palmore and wife Stacy of Summer Shade, and Lisa Pedigo and husband, Terry, of Glasgow; one daughter-in-law, Stephanie Gillam of Bowling Green; one brother: Howard Gillam of Farmington, MO.; one sister: Judy Gaines of Florissant, MO; seven grandchildren, Brynda Thomas, Britney Mace, Savannah Gillam, Nicholas Gillam, Cole Palmore, Tori Palmore and Whitney Pedigo; one great grandchild, Bella Thomas.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Bro. Joel Franks officiating. Visitation will be after 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
We are so sorry to hear of Walt’s passing – he had suffered a lot the past few months and he will suffer no more. He was a great friend to Tim and I, we never saw him without a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mary and Family, we are so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one Walt’s.
So very sorry to hear about Walter. I’ve known him for a long time and he was a truly wonderful person. I grew up with Craig in Missouri and Walter always made me feel welcome in his home. Walter also went to school with my father in Bonne Terre, Missouri. He will be greatly missed, but he suffers no more. The Gillam family is in my thoughts and prayers. May God be with all of you.
