Alma Wilson
May 5, 1927 ~ November 2, 2010
Alma Louise Wilson, 83, Glasgow, died Tuesday, November 02, 2010, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late James William Wheeler and Lillian Belle Ferguson Wheeler, she was a homemaker and had been a member of the Calvary Baptist Church for 41 years.
Survivors include her husband, James H. Wilson; 4 sons, Donald Edward Basil, Herbert Lewis Taylor, Allen Wilson and James Danny Wilson; 1 daughter, Carolyn Templeman; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar Love Wheeler and William Harrison “Billy” Wheeler, and two sisters, Clara Mae Stovall and Virginia Cumbee.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Uncle James and Family, I am sorry for the loss of Aunt Alma. She was alway so sweet and a wonderful aunt, and I know she was a good friend to momma (Ruth Crowe). We were so shocked and saddened to learn of Alma’s passing; She was suh a sweet lady; I will really miss talking to her at church on Sunday mornings. She always had such a sweet and pleasant smile. May God be with you and comfort you in the days ahead.
So sorry to hear of Aunt Allma’s passing. Mom; Ruth Crowe; spoke of her often and with affection. My prayers are with you Uncle James and your family.
Wanted to say how sorry I am Uncle James,Alma has always been a joy to know and
always kind to my mother “Mona Bell” and us through out the many years.She always had the right words to say about everything. I will truly miss her and always remember her.
