Juanita Kinslow White Thomas, 88, Glasgow, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at the Glasgow Health & Rehabilitation Center. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the Mote and Maye Atnip Kinslow, a retired employee of Sorensen’s in Glasgow, and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Thomas; one daughter, Sheila Jones (Mike) of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Jeremy White (Jennifer), Chris Jones (Hannah), and Justin Jones all of Glasgow; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa White and Travis White; one step-son, Terry Thomas of Glasgow; several step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert White; one sister, Margaret Connor; two brothers, Malcolm Kinslow and Vernon Kinslow.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Sheila, we know it is very hard for you to give up your mom because my (Christine) mom passed away just a year ago and that has been the hardest thing for me.     Bro. Thomas and family, we were sure sorry to learn of Sis. Thomas’s death. We knew she had been very ill. Anyway, we pray God’s peace upon you all right now in this loss. Heaven is a wonderful place for the people of God and by faith that is where we are all headed. We have fond memories of Sis. Thomas and will see her again one day.
