The first time I met David he was driving an old 4 door chevy with Fred Young in the back seat
at their local county fair…David opened the door for Fred and walked with him to a stage under a big tent right next to an oval dirt track. What a lasting impression that make on me.. David was such a warm and gentle person to be so big in stature. He also had a big heart and left me fond memories when I went out on the road with the Headhunters a few times….He will truly be missed…..Tom Long
I personally did not know David, but judging from the loving comments, I do wish I could have met him. My dad, Bobby Curtis, was a big fan of KY Headhunters and knew some of the members. He probably knew David. My dad passed away at the age of 58, way too young. I just wanted to offer my prayers and condolences to the family. God bless.
The other night I heard the news that Big Dave had passed away.. and I cried. He was my friend, he made me laugh and he was always my shoulder to cry on. I can’t think of my teenage years, the Itchy Brothers, The Head Hunters, Glasgow, Edmonton, or Bowling Green without thinking of him. He, Anthony, and Fred were comedy central..He was someone I was proud to know.Someone I will miss terribly. You really did touch so many lives David Wayne I love you… Lisa
David was always so sweet and kind to me. He was always this bigger than life guy that I loved to get hugs from. I will miss him but am so glad he is with our Lord & Savior and with all of our loved ones that have passed before us. I love you dear cousin!
Anita and Family, So sorry to hear of your brothers passing. Keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.
